A visit to Calvary Gospel is a meaningful experience. Whether you are new to the area and looking for a home church or someone seeking a closer relationship with God, you will find us welcoming and friendly. You'll also sense the presence of God throughout your visit. We want you to know that we pray specifically for the presence of God. After all, isn't that what church is all about--encountering God through worship and His Word?
Our vision is to love God; love ourselves as Christ loves us; and to love others, from Matthew 22:37 - 39.
Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
We want to love God by completely and continually giving ourselves to God. We also want to see ourselves as Jesus sees us: Children whom God loves dearly. We desire to be free to be loved and to become who we were created to be. We also seek to advance the Kingdom of God by giving of ourselves to others.
We also share Christ's passion for people. You will be valued and respected for who you are and who Christ desires you to become. We attempt to live out Acts 2:42-47 in a relevant 21st Century manner:
They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (New International Version)
